Collette Epps Joy, affectionately known as “Buffy”, 49 of North Charleston, South Carolina entered eternal rest on Monday, September 10, 2018, at the Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston, SC. Buffy was a loving daycare provider and was the owner of Full of Joy Daycare. Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, September 21, 2018, 11:00 A.M. at Faith in Action Christian Fellowship, 2730 Gordon Street, North Charleston, SC 29405, Apostle Bernard Whaley, Pastor, Bishop Tyrone L. Davis, Eulogist. Interment, Joshua Baptist Church Cemetery, Bennett Yard Road, North Charleston, SC. The cortege will assemble at 10 A.M. at the residence, 7605 Stonehaven Dr. North Chaleston, SC 29420. A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 20, 2018, 4:00-8:00 P.M. with a family hour, 7:00-8:00 P.M. at the Murray's Mortuary, 4060 Rivers Ave. North Charleston, SC 29405.

Her wonderful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children, Toriano “Tory” Epps and Derrick Epps of Charleston SC; children raised as her own, Robert Davon Gadson, Rochelle Gadson and Raquel Gadson of Charleston SC; granddaughter, Tori Epps; a special great-nephew, raised as her grandson, Carter McClair; father, Marvin (Gloria) McNeil; brother, Justin Gadson; sisters, Tonya Lorraine Gadson and Sarah Gadson; aunt, Sarah Mae Edwards; uncles, Billie “Bobo” Epps and Clinton Dawson; paternal sisters, Gail Bowens, Verondelette Brown, Arkeshia Williams, Ebony Poinsette, Marletta (Bernard) Heyward; paternal brother, Marvin Brown; paternal aunts, Wanda McNeil, Patricia Mitchell; paternal uncles, Bryant Lee McNeil, John (Jophelia) Mitchell, Carlton (Farlistar) Mitchell and Eric (Lesia) Mithcell; along with a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins and caring friends."A Service of Dignity, A Trademark of Excellence"
