Willie Mathew Stripling
June 17, 1950 — July 31, 2025
Willie Mathew Stripling, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother and beloved member of the community, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on June 17, 1950, Willie dedicated his life to his family, friends, and all those fortunate enough to cross his path.
As we gather to honor Willie's remarkable life and legacy, visitation will be held on August 8, 2025, at Lester Lackey & Sons Funeral Home, Inc., at 1163 Reynolds Street SW Covington, Georgia. The community is invited to pay their respects from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM, with a special visitation for family beginning at 4:00 PM.
Willie's life will be celebrated with a service at Covington First United Methodist Church, 1113 Conyers Street Southwest, Covington, GA 30014 on August 9, 2025, starting at 2:00 PM, followed by his internment at Sims Chapel Baptist Church. He will lie instate at 1:00 pm until the service hour.
Though he will be profoundly missed, Willie's spirit and the memories shared with him will forever remain in our hearts.
