Tannette Johnson Maddox peacefully transitioned on July 2, 2026, with her family by her side. Born on May 7, 1975, Tannette’s journey through life was characterized by kindness, resilience, and unwavering devotion to those she loved.

While her accomplishments and personal milestones were many, it was the way Tannette treated others—with compassion, generosity, and warmth—that defined her legacy. Friends remember Tannette for her gracious presence and her ability to bring comfort and joy to any room she entered.

Tannette cherished time spent with family and friends, fostering relationships built on respect, support, and authentic care. Throughout her life, she embraced each day with an open heart and a spirit of gratitude, inspiring those around her to do the same.

The life of Tannette Maddox will be honored at a visitation on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Lester Lackey & Sons Funeral Home, Inc., located at 1163 Reynolds Street SW, Covington, GA 30014. A Celebration of Life will follow on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Bethel Grove Baptist Church, 520 Sewell Road, Mansfield, GA 30055, Rev. Theodis Bell, Jr. Pastor. Her remains will lie instate at the church at 9:30 AM until the hour of service. Interment will be held at Sardis CME Church Cemetery Monticello, Ga. All who knew and loved Tannette are invited to gather, remember, and celebrate the enduring impact of her life.

Tannette’s memory will continue to inspire all who were fortunate to know her, and her legacy of love and kindness will live on forever.
