Roosevelt is remembered fondly by his loving spouse, Annie F. Johnson, as well as their devoted children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind a cherished network of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who hold him dear in their hearts.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Roosevelt's life and legacy during the visitation, which will be held on Friday, July 4, 2025, at Lester Lackey & Sons Funeral Home, Inc., 1163 Reynolds Street SW, Covington, Georgia, 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Following this, a Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at Miller Chapel Baptist Church, 2285 Miller Chapel Road Southeast, Conyers, Georgia, at 2:00 P.M. Roosevelt will lie in-state at 12:30 P.M. and the cortege will assemble at his residence at 1:00 P.M. Interment, Sims Chapel Baptist Church, Covington, GA.
Roosevelt Johnson’s life was one characterized by love, diligence, and community engagement. His legacy will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to have known him.
