Norval Edward Arnett

Norval Edward Arnett, lovingly known to many as ‘’Big No’’ or "Muff," was born on June 18, 1976, in Brooklyn, New York, to the late Yvonne Arnett and Clarence Bell. He attended public schools in Brooklyn and graduated from Sarah J. Hale High School. He entered eternal rest on August 31, 2026, in Covington, GA.

As a teenager, Norval accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior at Emmanuel Deliverance Temple under the leadership of Bishop Lester and Pastor Janette Bradford. Dedicated to his faith, he served closely with Pastor Bradford as his adjutant. During this time, Norval boldly shared the Gospel on New York City trains, developed a strong prayer life, and attended Bible Institute classes in Brooklyn, New York.

As a young adult, Norval worked for the New York City Housing Authority and several security companies. In 1996, he met the love of his life, Natasha Smith, during an overnight church lock-in. Their love blossomed, and in 1998 they welcomed their first child, Ashley Janae. Ashley changed him forever. Becoming a father inspired Norval to grow and mature into the devoted man God called him to be. Around this time, he began his career with the New York Police Department's School Safety Division.

On August 18, 2001, Norval and Natasha united in holy matrimony at Wayside Baptist Church. The ceremony was officiated by the late Pastor Joe L. Parker and Bishop Lester Bradford. The young couple began their life together in Brooklyn, New York, continuing to serve faithfully at Emmanuel Deliverance Temple until their relocation.

He is remembered with love by his devoted wife, Natasha Arnett; his three beautiful children, Ashley, Malachi, and Victoria Arnett of Covington, Georgia and a host of siblings, other relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service for Norval Edward Arnett will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. at Lester Lackey & Sons Funeral Home, Inc., 1163 Reynolds Street SW, Covington, Georgia 30014.

Norval touched and helped the lives of countless people throughout his journey. His legacy of faith, love, laughter, and generosity will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
