Mrs. Martha Julia Reid

Mrs. Martha Julia Reid, born on September 17, 1938, in Madison, Georgia, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2025, in Covington, Georgia. A devoted wife and loving mother, Mrs. Reid's legacy is defined by her unwavering commitment to her family and her community.

 Throughout her life, she instilled values of love, kindness, and resilience in her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her beloved spouse, Rev. W.J. Reid, and their four children, along with two adoring grandsons. The bonds she crafted with her family are a testament to her character and will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.

Friends, family, and loved ones are invited to gather for a Visitation on November 28, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Lester Lackey & Sons Funeral Home, Inc., located at 1163 Reynolds Street SW, Covington, GA 30014. A Celebration of Life will take place the following day, November 29, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Springfield Baptist Church-Madison, 2050 Bethany Church Road, Madison, GA 30650. Interment, Church Cemetery. Mrs. Rein will lie in-state at the church at 9:00 A.M. until the hour of service. 

Mrs. Reid will be remembered for her nurturing spirit, her laughter, and her unwavering faith that guided her through all of life's challenges. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will forever remain a cherished part of her family's story.
