Mr. Jessie Jake Smith of Oxford, GA entered eternal rest on Monday, February 27, 2017. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2017, 12 NOON at James Paschal Missionary Baptist Church, 651 GA-142 Covington, GA 30014, Reverend Dwayne Stephens, Pastor. Interment to follow at Lawnwood Memorial Park, Covington. The remains will repose in the church, 10:00 A.M. until the service hour. Family and friends will assemble at the residence, 167 Oxford Rd. Oxford, GA at 11 A.M. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 3, 2017, 12 NOON-8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. He leaves to cherish his memories, wife, Mrs. Kathryn Smith; daughters, Ms. Gertha Thomas, Chula Vista, California and Ms. Felicia Smith, Covington, Georgia; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Lillie Pearl Maddox and Mrs. Ollie Mae Russell; two brothers-in-law; five sisters-in-law; special nephew, Mr. Mozell Smith and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
