Celebration of Life for Mr. Charlie Newt "Slick" Marks of 430 3rd Ave. Covington, GA. will be held Sunday, January 8, 2017, at 1:00 P.M. at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, 2051 Henderson Mill Rd. Covington, GA., Reverend Shelton Brown, Pastor, Eulogist. Interment, Macedonia Church Cemetery. The remains will lie in-state at the church from 12:00 Noon until the hour of the service. Family and friends will assemble at 240 1st Ave. Covington, GA. at 12 NOON. Visitation, Saturday, January 7, 2017, at the funeral home, 12 NOON-8:00 P.M. He leaves to cherish his memories; two children, Ms. Stacy Marks-Kiyani and Mr. Keith Marks, grandson, Mr. Ketyrus Marks, Florida, siblings; Mr.  & Mrs. Hubert (Rose) Garrett, Muncie, Indiana, Mrs. Sarah Weaver, Dea. & Min. Walter (Cynthia) Marks, both of Covington, GA., Ms. Ann Marks-Bargie, Lithonia, GA. and Ms. Constance B. Marks, Burtonsville, Maryland, sister-in-law, Mrs. Pearlie M. Marks, aunt, Min. Lenora Williams, Stockbridge, GA. and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
