Mr. Robert Lee Porter, Sr., a native of Charleston, South Carolina, and resident of Covington, Georgia, peacefully passed away on September 7, 2026. He will be remembered and cherished by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A Public Visitation will be held on Friday, September 18, 2026, 12:00 Noon until 6:00 P.M. at Lester Lackey & Sons Funeral Home, 1163 Reynolds St. SW, Covington, GA 30014.

The Home- Going Service will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. at Anointed Body of Christ Church, 34 Hemlock St., Porterdale, GA 30014. Rev. Bobby Sims, Pastor. Mr. Porter will lie in-state at 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service. Interment will follow at Lawnwood Memorial Park, 1111 Access Rd., Covington, GA 30014.

The cortege will assemble at Mr. Porter’s residence at 10:00 A.M. The family of Mr. Robert Lee Porter, Sr. appreciates your prayers, love, and support during this time of bereavement.
