Minister Barbara Ann Smith

Minister Barbara Ann Smith, born on March 24, 1957, departed this life on October 3, 2026. 

Minister Smith’s life will be remembered with respect and affection. She leaves behind a legacy carried in the hearts of those who knew her and were touched by her presence. Her name and her ministry will remain a treasured memory to family, friends, and all who had the blessing of sharing in her life.

Family and friends are invited to honor and remember her during a viewing on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Lester Lackey & Sons Funeral Home, Inc., 1163 Reynolds Street SW, Covington, Georgia 30014.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. at Springfield Baptist Church- Monticello, 837 Hillsboro Street, Monticello, Georgia 31064. Interment will follow at Adgateville Cemetery, Hillsboro, Hillsboro, Georgia 31038. Her remains will lie instate  from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service. Family and friends will assemble at the church at 11:30 a.m.
