Kennedy Lee Gaither Affectionately known as “Kenny G”, born on January 9, 1966, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, peacefully transitioned on July 10, 2025, leaving behind a legacy filled with laughter, love, and cherished memories.
A devoted father, Kennedy is survived by his son, Kennerious Gaither and three beloved grandchildren, who will remember him as a joyful presence in their lives. His warmth and gentle spirit were further enriched by a vast circle of family and friends, including a host of siblings, nephews, nieces and cousins, all of whom held a special place in his heart.
Kennedy was known for his love of fishing, where he found peace and joy in the simplicity of nature's beauty. His humor and ability to joke brought joy to those around him, creating lasting connections and delightful memories that will be fondly remembered.
He was preceded in death by his beloved spouse, Valeria Gaither, whose absence he carried with him throughout his life. The bond they shared was one of deep affection and mutual respect, and her memory will continue to live on through all those who knew and loved them.
Family and friends are invited to gather for a viewing at Lester Lackey & Sons Funeral Home, Inc., located at 1163 Reynolds Street SW, Covington, GA 30014, on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at Poplar Hill A.M.E. Church, 623 Poplar Hill Road, Covington, GA 30014, Rev. John Feagin, Pastor, Rev. W.H. Gaither, Eulogist. Interment, Church Cemetery.
His spirit will continue to inspire laughter and love in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
