Karen Beatrice Hall

Ms. Karen Beatrice Hall, age 63, formerly of Harlem, New York, peacefully entered eternal rest on July 17, 2026. Born on September 8, 1962, in New York as the third child in her family, Karen’s vibrant spirit and love for life shone from the very beginning.

Karen was a woman of deep faith and remained active in her church, finding strength, community, and joy in her spiritual life. She carried that same warmth into all areas of her world—whether through her love of Motown music, a joyful shopping trip, or savoring her favorite treats like Cool Ranch Doritos, seafood, Sprite, and meals at Benihana.

Karen’s early-onset Alzheimer’s disease was discovered at the start of the pandemic. While it changed many aspects of her life, it never diminished the importance of her accomplishments, her relationships, or the love she gave and received. She remained a woman of resilience, dignity, and grace.

Above all, Karen was a proud mother and nana, roles she cherished deeply. She was also lovingly embraced by her care team in Memory Care, who adored her and were touched by her spirit. Karen had a special fondness for feline pets, and her beloved companion, Madeline, brought her immense comfort and happiness.

She was deeply committed to her sobriety, which became a powerful expression of her strength and purpose. Community meant everything to Karen, and she treasured the meaningful connections she built throughout her journey.

Karen is survived by her children, Tiffany Hall Williams and Jasmine Adams Mitchell; her son-in-law, Glenn Mitchell; her grandchildren, Shawn Solomon Salmon and Kaitlyn Williams; her brothers, Brian Hall and Aaron Hall; her best friend, Angela Stevens; extended family members Carolyn, Yolanda, Farris, Chelsea, Xavier, and Sarah; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Evelyn Hall; her mother, Constance Hall; her father, Samuel Hall; her infant brother, Samuel Hall Jr.; and extended family member Norman Adams.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the Benton House of Covington for four years of loving care and support. They also offer sincere thanks to Companion Carers NeQuonda Daniel and Fran Mendez, along with Amy and Tekeysha of Southern Grace Hospice, for the compassion, kindness, and comfort they provided to Karen and her family.

A celebration of life will be held Fall 2026. Details will be announced at a later date by her daughters.

Dedication:  Karen was my sponsee and a loyal, faithful friend. She was like a friend closer than a brother. God sent her into my life during a very difficult time.

We walked and talked together about many things, and we trusted each other—no person or situation could separate our friendship. We spent a great deal of time in the fellowship of sobriety, attending meetings, going to conferences, and simply enjoying life.

She loved her family and spoke about them often—her daughters, Tiffany and Jasmine, and especially her grandchildren, Solomon (aka Solo) and Kaitlyn. They were her pride and joy. Whenever she spoke about them, her whole face lit up, and her beautiful smile reflected that joy.

Let’s not forget Madeline, her beloved feline companion.

I will miss her and cherish the memories that will always remain in my heart. She was a beautiful spirit. I am comforted knowing that she is no longer in pain and is at peace with her Heavenly Father.— Jeanette B.
