It is with deep respect and remembrance that we announce the passing of Johnny Clarence Hightower, Sr., who departed this life on June 20, 2026, at his residence. Born on October 24, 1950, in Covington, Georgia, Johnny’s journey began in the community he would always call home, a place that shaped his values and to which he remained devoted throughout his life. Johnny’s legacy is carried forward in the memories and the enduring love of the people whose lives he enriched.

 Visitation will be held on Friday, June 26, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Lester Lackey & Sons Funeral Home, Inc., 1163 Reynolds Street SW, Covington, GA 30014. This opportunity invites all who wish to pay their respects, share in reflection, and offer support to one another. A graveside service will take place on Saturday, June 27, 2026, 11:00 AM at Lawnwood Memorial Park, 1111 Access Road, Covington, GA 30014. At this sacred gathering, Johnny will be laid to rest in the very community that was always his heart’s home. Family and Friends will meet at the cemetery at 10:45 A.M.
