Janice Denise Turk

Janice Denise Turk, a beloved sister, and friend, quietly departed this world on July 15, 2025, at the age of 52. Born on May 16, 1973, in Augusta, Georgia, Janice embodied warmth and compassion, touching the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

 Janice was a vibrant spirit full of life and laughter. Her friends described her as a beacon of kindness who always had a smile to share and a listening ear. She carried this zest for life into adulthood, where she continued to build a legacy of love and community that resonated with everyone she met.

Janice’s passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of many, but her memory will continue to flourish through the countless stories and memories shared by those she touched. Her life will be honored and celebrated during a Visitation on July 18, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Lester Lackey & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. in Covington, Georgia.1163 Reynolds Street Covington, Georgia.  A Celebration of Life will follow on July 19, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the Bethel Grove Baptist Church in Mansfield. 520 Sewell Road Mansfield, Georgia 30055. Rev. Theodis Bell, Pastor.  She will be laid to rest at the Greenwood Cemetery in Shady Dale, Georgia,.

Though Janice may no longer walk among us, the love and light she shared will continue to shine brightly through the lives she enriched. Her spirit will forever be remembered by all who were lucky enough to share in her life.
