James Jackson

James Jackson, a beloved husband and cherished father, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2025, at his residence in Newborn, Georgia. He was born on November 21, 1938, in Monticello, Georgia, a place that always held a special place in his heart.

James led a life that exemplified dedication and love. As a devoted spouse to Annie L. Jackson,  Together, they experienced the joys and challenges of life, nurturing a partnership that lasted through the years. 

Visitation will be held on August 22, 2025, 1:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at Lester Lackey & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1163 Reynolds St. SW Covington, Georgia. A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025,1:00 P.M.  at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church, 574 Glades Rd. Eatonton, Georgia. Interment, will follow at the Church Cemetery. Mr. Jackson's will lie in-state at the church from 11:30 A.M. until the hour of service. The cortege will assemble at his residence at 11:45 A.M. 

As we gather to honor the life of James Jackson, we invite all who knew him to share their memories and celebrate his enduring legacy. His spirit will continue to shine through the lives he touched.
