Duane Davis, born on October 8, 1960, in Savannah, Georgia, passed away on May 5, 2026, with his fiancé Donna and his son Frank by his side. He was a devoted father, a skilled businessman, and a man known for his talent, work ethic, and ability fix just about anything.
He was the beloved son of Charlie and Barbara Davis, and he grew up alongside his three siblings, Ginger, Chip, and Chris.
Duane was the proud father of four sons: Frank, Ryan, Wesley, and Sean, who carry forward his memory and the values he lived by. Family was central to his life, and he took pride in providing, teaching, and being present in his own way.
A gifted pool player, Duane, found both passion and community around the table. His love for the game extended into his business, as he owned and operated Chicago’s Billiards from 2004 to 2016. During those years, he built more than just a business—he created a place where people gathered, competed, and connected.
Beyond his professional life, he was known as a handyman who could solve problems and build or repair almost anything. Whether helping family, friends, or customers, he brought a practical skill set and a quiet reliability that people came to trust.
He will be remembered for his independence, his talents, and the impact he had on those who knew him.
He is survived by his fiancé, Donna; his four sons, Frank, Ryan, Wesley, and Sean; his siblings, Ginger, Chip, and Chris; and his nine grandchildren, Wesley, Tegan, Riley, Finnous, Audrey, Wilson, Madison, and Bodie, all of whom will continue to carry his legacy forward.
A Memorial Gathering to honor Duane’s life and legacy will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2026, 1:00 PM at Lester Lackey & Sons Funeral Home, Inc., 1163 Reynolds Street SW, Covington, Georgia, 30014. This occasion will provide an opportunity for all whose lives he touched to come together in remembrance and reflection.
In this time of mourning, those who had the privilege of knowing Duane are invited to share their memories and celebrate the impact he made.
