Dessie Mae Cullins, born on September 13, 1944, in Madison, Georgia, passed away peacefully at her residence on December 4, 2025. She leaves behind a lasting legacy characterized by her warmth, class, and welcoming spirit.

Dessie was beloved by her family, including her four daughters: Barbara Cooper, Patricia Boswell, Cynthina Reid, and Karen Cullins. Each of her daughters carries forward her values of kindness and compassion, reflecting the nurturing and supportive environment she created throughout her life.

Her personality was nothing short of kingly and classy, traits that endeared her to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Dessie's life was marked by her commitment to family, making an impact that will be remembered for generations to come.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate her life during the following services. A viewing will be held on Friday, December 12, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Lester Lackey & Sons Funeral Home, Inc., located at 1163 Reynolds Street SW, Covington, GA 30014. The Celebration of Life service will take place on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 2801 Broughton Road, Newborn, GA 30056. Pastors Carrie & Derrick Reid, Sr. Assisted by others. Mrs. Cullins will lie in-state at the church from 11:00 A.M. until the hour of service. The family will assemble at her residence at 12:00 Noon.

Dessie Mae Cullins will be dearly missed but fondly remembered by all whose lives she touched.
