Audrey Jayne Devoe

Audrey Jayne Devoe, born Audrey Jayne Lindsey on September 7, 1946, in Los Angeles, California, passed away peacefully at her residence on July 24, 2026. 

Audrey was the beloved daughter of the late Buck Lindsey and Fena Lindsey, whose influence shaped her formative years. Raised in Los Angeles, Audrey carried the cherished values instilled by her parents throughout her lifetime, touching the lives of all who knew her with kindness and grace.

Audrey’s legacy lives on through her son, David Hurst, who survives her. The deep bond they shared was a testament to her unwavering dedication, and her memory will be held close in his heart forever.

Though her earthly journey has ended, Audrey’s warmth, compassion, and the memories she created remain a beacon for those who had the privilege to know her.

Family and friends are invited to honor Audrey Jayne Devoe’s life at a visitation on July 30, 2026, 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Lester Lackey & Sons Funeral Home, Inc., 1163 Reynolds Street SW, Covington, GA 30014. A Celebration of Life service will follow on Friday, July 31, 2026, 11:00 AM at New Hope Baptist Church, 2207 Brown Street Southwest, Covington, GA 30014. Mrs. Devoe will lie in-state at the church at 10:30 A.M. until the hour of service. Interment, Early Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.
